Mike Brindle is the founder of Fylde Dental Clinic. In 1977 he qualified as a dental technician and subsequently gained advanced qualifications in orthodontics, crown and bridge, and denture construction. In 1979 he opened his own dental laboratory, Northern Orthodontics, doing dental work for dentists throughout the country. In 2007 Mike took the next major step in his career and became a CDT (clinical dental technician), meaning that he would be able then to see and treat patients in his own clinic.

After two years of study with the George Brown College of Toronto, a KSS Deanery course in Kent, and the successful completion of examinations by the Royal College of Surgeons, in 2009 Mike opened the Fylde Dental Clinic in St. Anne’s where he personally constructs and fits dentures directly to the public. In 2017, Mike became president of the BACDT (British Association of Clinical Dental Technicians).

In his leisure time, Mike enjoys flying light aircraft, and he has had his Private Pilot’s Licence for over 30 years.

Lorna is our head dental nurse and practice manager at Fylde Dental Clinic. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2010 and has undertaken further qualifications in oral health education and radiography. We are very grateful to Lorna as she keeps us organised and succinct. In her spare time she loves running and spending time with her family.

Vivian Chan BDS has recently joined the Fylde Dental team and is taking on new patients on Wednesdays. She qualified as a dentist at Newcastle University in 2014 and has since worked in the NHS and privately. Vivian is interested in facial aesthetic treatments and straightening teeth with Invisalign Go. In her spare time Vivian enjoys eating out, yoga, knitting and baking.

Sharon has almost 30 years experience working in a dental setting, with over 13 years qualified in Dental Hygiene Therapy, previously in a busy NHS/Private practice.

Adept at anxiety management and paediatric dentistry.
